Bhrama Temple

Bhrama Temple

History of four faced Bhramaji at Mota.

About hundred years ago Bhramaji appeared in swapna to one pious man named Parmanand and informed him that he had been buried long ago in a well. He and villagers dig the spot and found the idol of Bhramaji carved from white marble. The idol is of old stone age. Bhramaji has four faces with a mukut on the head. This is a very rare idol and hardly found anywhere in India.

Villagers built a temple and installed the dug out Idol of Bhramaji. As the old temple was in very bad shape; New temple was build according to Vastu Shastra and the idol of Bhramaji was installed along with the idols of Saraswatiji & Gayatriji on both sides of Bhramaji.

It was witnessed by some leading devotee that while the idol of Bhramaji was being removed tears rolled out the eyes of Bhramaji. The prayers were offered that "You" are being installed in a NEW and gorgeous Temple, the tears stopped.

Very large number of devotees come to offer Puja. On the day of Kartik Purnima the temple is illuminated and prayers offered by hundreds of devotees every year.

A visit and prayers to Karta to Vishwa ( Bhramaji ) will certainly give solace to the soul.
